Dance showcases are party-like events where students demonstrate their dance ability in a recital type show. Teachers choreograph the dance routine and dance with their students. This is an opportunity to invite friends and family to watch the student dance and follow their progress as a dancer. There are also group dances called “formations” where multiple students learn a routine to perform together and build relationships with other dancers while and practicing. This is a great opportunity for students to “take the stage” not ready or comfortable to perform solo with their teacher. Most studios schedule 2-4 showcases a year.
